Scott Wilkie celebrated British Science Week with a range of exciting activities.
Science Boffins Workshops
The Science Boffins took over Scott Wilkie providing a range of exciting workshops for years 1-6. Some of the experiments on show included Elephant Toothpaste, Static Electricity and Dragon’s Breath. We finished the day with a whole school rocket launch in the playground.
Mixing is Allowed
The following day, Scott Wilkie teachers conducted their own experiments across KS1 and KS2. Children across the school were put into groups, each named after a famous scientist. This was a fantastic opportunity for children from reception to year 6 to work collaboratively and try out three different experiments throughout the morning.
Science Week was a fantastic learning experience and all the children had a great time working together in a different setting.
